Hello ADRA Bahamas Family,
Today, our neighbors in the north, the United States of America, celebrate Thanksgiving. It begins the Christmas season in many respects, which is a time of giving. There are many of us here in The Bahamas who pause, reflect and give thanks as well at this time. While it may not be a big part of our culture in The Bahamas, I still wish to pause and say Happy Thanksgiving! In fact, no matter where we are from we are all called to "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." [1 Thessalonians 5:16-18]
I also want to say "Thank You" to each and every one of you for being a part of the ADRA Bahamas team in 2020 in volunteering, liking our page and even donating. We give thanks to God for you. We At ADRA Bahamas truly appreciate you.

During this time there is so much to be thankful for, even though with the COVID-19 pandemic and the residual effects of Hurricane Dorian, it may have been a rough year for many, and it may be hard for some to give thanks. However, in it all, God has got us and He has all of our situations under control.
This day let’s be grateful for the little things we have. While many of us have a place to sleep at nights, there are still persons who have homes in Abaco and Grand Bahama that were damaged from Hurricane Dorian that have not been repaired and are in critical need of help.

There are still children without access to quality education.
